CASE STUDY: Storyblok

From two founders to 150 employees – and YPS supported nearly from the beginning

CHALLENGE_

Storyblok is a Headless Content Management System developed in Austria. The co-founders, Dominik Angerer and Alexander Feiglstorfer, work from both their home country and Brazil, and within a few years, they have built an international remote-only company with over 150 employees in 30 countries.

The content management market is dominated by free solutions such as TYPO3 and WordPress, and the headless architecture is still relatively new. Therefore, our task was not only to convey the advantages of headless technology to the relevant target audience (decision-makers in companies, C-level executives, and CEOs) but also to communicate the complex technical concepts in an understandable manner and establish Storyblok as the leading provider for easy implementation.

At the beginning of our collaboration, in addition to founder stories and a focus on growth, it was important for us to communicate Storyblok’s exceptional remote culture and its associated global work. We have been working with Storyblok for two years now, covering the entire DACH market, and continually developing new and current thematic focal points. As the lead agency for the DACH region, we have supported numerous campaigns in various countries.

RESULTS_

In the first month of our collaboration (June 2021), we achieved four publications in startup and e-commerce media by combining the founder story with the communication of headless benefits. Throughout 2021, we achieved a total of 24 publications in all relevant target groups, including Tier-1 media outlets such as t3n and HORIZONT.

We have consistently maintained a high media presence since then. In 2022, our newsjacking approach, various partnership announcements, and informative industry articles resulted in an average of five publications per month.
